investigation discovery (I.D.), is from heartsrevolution's free mixtape, which will be available from may 30th 2011 (via their website). apparently, the mixtape is a prelude to their new Ride or Die LP. if investigation discovery is anything to go by then they've got a really nice fresh sound; less gameboy glitch and more hip-hop beat and punchy lyrics.

I really liked their previous electro dance stuff. I hope the new "hip hop-esque" angle does not deviate from their original sound so much that they alienate their old fans. That would make me cry a lot.
i've seen on their myspace that their genre is now 'hip-hop/thrash', so i think they're definitely gonna go down the hip-hop route, especially with a title like Ride or Die.
