i put my craft spells on you.

Craft Spells just released (well... more like a week ago), their debut album, Idle Labor, on Captured Tracks. This is more of the 80s inspired "bedroom/self-recorded" indie-pop that we all seem to love, which is pretty much what Captured Tracks' artists are known for anyway. The lo-fi vocals add to the authentic 80s sound Craft Spells have tried to encapsulate. Their album is very much like some of the works by New Order, but with a modern and revitalised twist.

Who needs tapes anymore when artists can record music digitally and make it sound like it's coming from an old cassette player?
